New Hope Clubhouse

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) estimates that one in five American adults experiences mental illness. In our focus area of seven counties in rural central Texas, the total population is 97,472. That means an estimated 20,000 people in our communities are experiencing mental illness, many in isolation from needed services and supports. The Center for Life Resources (CFLR) already provides mental health crisis and case management services to individuals in our focus area. Clubhouse services can complement these existing services--which focus on treating symptoms and managing crises--by assisting individuals to take the next recovery steps to develop strengths, build positive relationships, and access meaningful work opportunities.
